What it does

Built around how a still house actually runs.

Not generic ERP bent into shape — every module speaks the language of mash, cut, cask and duty.

Batch & cut logging

Record every run with heads, hearts and tails timing, collected ABV and yield — straight from the still floor on any device.

Cask & inventory

Track maturation, angel's share and botanical stock by lot. Know what's in every barrel and what you can bottle this month.

Excise & duty returns

LALs and proof gallons calculated as you go. Generate ATO or TTB returns from real production data, ready to lodge.

Production scheduling

Plan ferments, distillation slots and bottling runs against still capacity so nothing sits idle and nothing collides.

Yield & cost insight

See cost per litre, yield per botanical bill and margin per SKU. Find where a recipe quietly loses money.

Audit-ready records

Every entry timestamped and traceable. When the regulator asks, the paper trail is already there — no scramble.

From still to shelf

Three steps, one source of truth.

/ 01

Log the run

Capture the mash bill, ferment and cut as it happens. The hearts you keep, the ABV you collect — all on the record.

/ 02

Track to bottle

Follow spirit into cask and out to the bottling line. Inventory, maturation and SKU stock stay current automatically.

/ 03

File with confidence

Duty figures roll up from real production. Review, then lodge your excise return — no spreadsheet reconciliation.

Compliance, region-aware

Excise that knows your jurisdiction.

Switch on the module for where you operate. The maths, the forms and the thresholds follow the local rules — not a US-only template you have to second-guess.

  • ATO excise & the remission scheme for Australian distillers
  • US TTB proof-gallon reporting and TTB F 5110 forms
  • UK & EU duty rates with automatic LAL conversion
  • Role-based access so your accountant sees only the books

“Quarter-end used to be two days of reconciling the still log against a spreadsheet. Now the excise return is sitting there, built from the runs we actually logged. We lodge it in an afternoon.”

Questions

The things distillers ask first.

Do I need to switch off my current accounting software?+

No. DistilleryOS owns production and excise; it pushes clean figures to Xero, QuickBooks and MYOB rather than replacing them. Your bookkeeper keeps their tools.

Will it calculate Australian excise and the remission correctly?+

Yes. The ATO module converts collected ABV to LALs, applies the current spirit rate and the eligible remission, and produces a return you can review before lodging. Rates update when the ATO indexes them.

How long does it take to get going?+

Most single-site distilleries are logging live runs within a day. We import your existing batch and cask records during the free trial, so you start from your real data.

Where is my data stored?+

Australian customers' data is hosted in-region by default, with daily backups and SOC 2 Type II controls. You can export everything as CSV or PDF at any time — it stays yours.

What happens after the free trial?+

Nothing automatic. We never ask for a card up front, so the trial simply ends unless you choose a plan. Your data waits for 60 days in case you come back.
